Trouble, “the quo” and the art of award winning disruption.

I’ve never considered myself a trouble maker.

Creating trouble for “troubles sake” always seemed like a perfect score on my favourite TV quiz show….pointless!

However there are times when shaking things up, questioning the status quo (the phrase meaning the “existing state of affairs” not the band….you never question the band!) and being intentionally disruptive is a overwhelmingly positive thing to do.

When a system is broken, and the old models don’t and can’t practically work anymore you need disruption to change perceptions, change how things are done, and…

Change the game.

Although we never started out being intentionally disruptive, it seems that our software system designed to help SME and Micro employers comply has and continues to be a little bit, erm, troublesome to the status Quo.

We’ve apparently been so disruptive that we’re up for “Most disruptive Financial Sector Technology” at the FS Tech awards in March.

Perhaps I should be embarrassed by the fact that we’ve been nominated as disruptive…

Actually I’m beaming from ear to ear.

You see whilst my natural inclination is to apologise for being such a troublemaker the reality is…

I’m proud that AE in a Box is creating such a ruckus.

In the next few years there will be hundreds and thousands of employers who need help with auto enrolment.

Whilst advisers and accountants will help many employers comply successfully (and using a traditional consultancy process) for many of these professionals they need a smarter way to help their clients with auto enrolment.

In addition to this most SME and Micro employers are keeping a close eye on their costs and may not want to pay for additional consultancy services to ensure they comply with auto enrolment….

….but many of these employers still need help.

That’s why for the employers and the professionals who help them AE in a Box is such a powerful tool.

However…It’s true to say that “AE in a box” is a fundamental change to the way things are currently done.

It’s a fact that AE in a Box challenges the perception that support with auto enrolment compliance can only be delivered with an expensive consultancy process.

and

If all goes to plan, AE in a Box will help thousands of employers put the right foundations in place to help them comply, simply, easily and promptly.

So, you can call us troublemakers, you can call us rabble rousers and hopefully you’ll be able to call us the “most disruptive” come the FS Tech awards next March.

Just know that what the reason we’re doing this is that the auto enrolment game truly needs to change.
