As the summer comes to an end and as all of us head back to our desks after our summer holidays for the autumn and winter (which will hopefully be at least less rainy than the summer months!) the deadline for hundreds of thousands of smaller employers need to meet to fulfill their automatic enrolment obligations edges ever closer.

I’ve written before about the true challenge of automatic enrolment quickly approaching and the reality is that it’s now closer than ever.

In the first three months of 2016 the pensions regulator estimates that there are 110,000 employers hitting their staging dates.

This means 110,000 employers across the land having between three and six months left to complete all the tasks they need to in order to hit their staging date.

However this is just the start. The speed and scale then increases with an average, again according to the pension regulator, of 42,600 employers each and every month in 2015 having reached their staging date.

So, in September, and regardless of whether you’re a fellow financial adviser, accountant or payroll bureau or employer needing to comply, we’re doing what we can to help.

In this webinar, Paul Bryne from Brightpay will be talking about the impact of automatic enrolment on payroll bureaus and how they can manage automatic enrolment profitably and I’ll be explaining how AE in a Box can help support and empower the hundreds of thousands of employers approaching their staging date by making compliance straightforward.

In addition to working with Brightpay we’re continuing our work with Standard Life and on the 22nd September at 9:30am we’ll be presenting with them on a webinar where we’ll be diving into the functionality of AE in a Box to show how it can work to save time for both employers and the professionals who help them.

Lastly, and in addition to the work we do daily to help employers comply and the webinars we’re presenting to help in the marketplace I’m in the final stages of finishing a book.

This book has been written with employers in mind and will be a practical guide to ensure that employers across the land are able to comply with automatic enrolment successfully.

The book is (virtually) done and whilst we’ve still got a bit to do (including development, design and distribution) we’re anticipating having the book out and a bit of a party to celebrate it’s launch later in the year!
