As the children go back to school it feels a bit like ‘school’ in the Cervello offices too!

You see a few of the Cervello team have exams in October! (including me!) Now professional study is obviously a bit different to what my two daughters Charlotte (who is starting her 2nd year at secondary school) and Sophie (who is just starting HER first ever year at infant school)…

For a start there’s no school dinners (yay!) Secondly study as a ‘grown up’, as many of you reading this who have studies whilst an adult will appreciate, is mostly self directed and thirdly, the desire to continue to learn and the belief that we never lose the capability to learn, develop and grow I believe are fundamental to continued learning especially as an adult.

(A book worth reading on this particular subject is ‘Mindset’ by Carol Dweck)

However within our business we know that continuous development and learning isn’t something we just say we do…it’s something we take action on and although there is a decent amount of panicking approaching ‘exam season’ October our desire is clear…

To continue to expand our knowledge and expertise.

To continue to deliver an exception service to our clients using everything we continue we learn.

and

To have enough humility to understand we never stop learning and confident enough to take on the challenge of wanting to continuously try to fill this knowledge gap.
