My strange typing skill, Hot weather and what we can learn from the Genius of Bowie

As I write this I’ve got David Bowie’s ‘heroes’ in my headphones and I’m looking out of my office window (I can’t remember where I learned how to do this…but being able to type without looking at either the keyboard or the screen is a skill which comes in handy every now and then)

It’s hot in our little part of the world today.

It’s probably hot where you are too…but only if you’re reading this close to the time I wrote this article…the long hot summer of 2018 (and as I write this it’s not even August) however I’m confident that things will change.

It’s not particularly prophetic to talk about change…as a fella called Heraclitus  said thousands of years ago:-

The only constant is change.

As seasons change and our lives continue so will our hopes, dreams, goals and aspirations of what we want to achieve with our lives…

As financial planners our role is not only to look after your money…but also make sure your money continues to be aligned with the changing aspirations in your life,

Our experience is that as our clients approach financial security their focus moves from just ‘more money’ to a wide range of other aspirations including spending more time with the people they love, travel, learning skills they just didn’t have time to learn previously and much much more (including for many of our clients giving back either in time or money to causes they believe in)

However it’s important to always ensure you’re always focused on living the best life you can.

We all hear ‘it goes to quick’ and ‘lives too short’ without taking the action we need to make change to reflect our new goals, hopes, dreams and aspirations…

As Heraclitus alluded to, and Modern day wordsmith, musician and Philosopher David Bowie talks about…

Time may change me….but I can’t trace time.
