The N.E.X.T. Framework: How to Design the Next Chapter of Your Life

The Broken Model “Have you ever felt like you’ve spent your whole life climbing a ladder, only to worry it might be leaning against the wrong building?

For decades, we’ve been sold a specific story about life. It’s the ‘Three Stage Model’: You Learn, then you Earn, and then—abruptly—you Rest. But here is the problem: we are living longer than ever before. If you stop working at 60 and live to 90, that is thirty years of ‘resting.’

That isn’t a holiday; that’s a ‘retirement cliff’. And for many business owners and professionals I talk to, staring over that cliff is terrifying. They aren’t worried about running out of money; they are worried about running out of purpose. They are asking, ‘Who am I without the business card?’.

The Solution: Navigate, Evaluate, Execute, Track “This is why I’ve spent the last few years researching, interviewing experts, and writing my new book, What Happens Next

The book argues that we need to stop thinking about a ‘cliff edge’ and start building a ‘flight path’. To do that, I use a framework called N.E.X.T., which I want to share with you today so you can start using it immediately.

• N is for Navigate: You have to decide on a direction. Not a rigid destination, but a general bearing. What does a ‘good life’ look like to you?

• E is for Evaluate: Be honest about where you are right now. Not just financially, but physically and socially.

• X is for eXecute: This is the secret sauce. It’s about taking small, low-cost experiments. Don’t sell the house and move to the coast on a whim. Rent the cottage for two weeks first. Test the lifestyle before you commit to the life.

• T is for Track: Life changes. Your plan needs to evolve as you do.

The Concept: Wellbeing Stacking “In the book, we also go deep into something I call ‘Wellbeing Stacking’.

We all know we need to look after our Physical, Financial, Social, Intellectual, and Community wellbeing. But trying to juggle five balls at once is exhausting.

‘Wellbeing Stacking’ is about finding one activity that hits multiple birds with one stone. Take Padel Tennis, for example—something I’ve become slightly obsessed with recently. It improves my Physical health. It connects me with friends for Social wellbeing. And learning a new sport challenges my Intellectual wellbeing.

That is what the book is about. It’s not just about money. It’s a toolbox for designing a life that keeps expanding, rather than shrinking.

The Invitation: The Book Launch “This book is the culmination of thousands of hours of client conversations, expert interviews, and deep research. And I am incredibly excited to announce that we are officially launching What Happens Next this May.

We aren’t just putting it on Amazon and hoping for the best. We are holding a proper launch event to kick off this conversation.

“We will be hosting the launch at Central London on 28th of May 2026.

It’s going to be an evening of conversation, connection, and maybe even a few ‘pigs in blankets’ if you’re lucky—because let’s be honest, they are the best part of any dinner.

“If you want to stop drifting and start designing your next chapter, I’d love to see you there.

Tickets are limited, so please click the link below to grab your spot and get more details on the event.
