As a business we’re always looking to improve.

We’re constantly looking at our systems and processes. We’ve just revamped our website (or we’re about too depending on when this is published). We conduct regular reviews around many different elements of our business.

We’re focussed on both improving the service we deliver to our existing clients and also improving the delivery of our service for the steady stream of new clients who we’re grateful choose to work with us.

However, we’ve reached a point where we feel it’s the right time to expand.

Now this expansion, which will involve growing our team of advisers, might be a bit slower than we originally anticipated.

The reason? We want to make sure that advisers who join us are in a position where the move to join us is right for both them and us.

We’re currently in continued discussions with a number of individuals who we hope will join our business (we’ll announce our new joiners when the I’s have been dotted and the t’s have been crossed)

Whilst we expected to be further down the road as we approach the end of 2016 we’re comfortable with how our recruitment plans are going…

Why?

Because we’re building our business for the long term…not the short term.

If we’ve got to wait a bit longer to recruit just to get as close to the perfect team as possible – that’s fine

If we’ve got to be disciplined and say no to some advisers who don’t fit in with our business – that’s fine

And

If we’re in a position where we make choices which mean slower recruitment short term but more sustainability longer term – that’s fine.

You see we’re building a business designed to provide an exceptional service to our clients for decades to come…this means that every single decision has to be focussed on that longer term vision.

So we’ll continue to recruit. We’ll continue to have plenty of discussions with advisers.

However we’re only going to bring advisers on board which share our longer term view and want to be part of a business built to last…
